Barista Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages to customers
  • Engage with customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned according to health and safety regulations
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies when necessary
  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for patrons
  • Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the coffee industry and incorporate new techniques into service

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, equipment, and beverages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
  • A genuine passion for coffee and customer service excellence
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
