Brilliant International Private School (BIPS), a leading British curriculum institution in Sharjah, is looking for a qualified and compassionate Psychologist cum SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join our inclusive education team. This dual role supports student well-being while ensuring that learners with special educational needs receive the appropriate guidance and support throughout their academic journey.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments, observations, and one-on-one student counseling sessions.
  • Design and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with learning difficulties and special needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and leadership to support inclusive classroom practices.
  • Train and mentor staff on strategies for supporting students with SEN and behavioral/emotional needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date records, reports, and confidential documentation.
  • Liaise with external specialists or support services when additional interventions are needed.

✅ Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in psychology or special education. A B.Ed. is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a school setting.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Experience in British Curriculum schools is highly preferred.
  • Location: Candidates must be currently residing in the UAE.
  • Additional Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Deep understanding of child development and inclusive education best practices.
