Position: Duty Manager

Location: Waldorf Astoria Kuwait, Al Rai Area, Kuwait City

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Relations: Engage with guests to greet, converse, and assist with inquiries, especially during peak times, ensuring a memorable first impression.

  • Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations across various departments, ensuring adherence to Waldorf Astoria standards and efficient service delivery.

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints promptly, turning challenges into positive experiences.

  • VIP Services: Meet and greet VIP guests and major corporate clients upon arrival, ensuring personalized and attentive service.

  • Reporting: Prepare and review operational reports, including revenue forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Emergency Procedures: Lead emergency response efforts, ensuring the safety and security of guests and colleagues in accordance with hotel policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of one year previous supervisory experience in a similar role within the hotel and leisure sector.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Operational Knowledge: Good knowledge of Health and Safety and security procedures, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

  • Guest Service Orientation: A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service, with attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent is advantageous.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
