Fundamental Hospitality, a distinguished Dubai-based company known for its innovative dining and lifestyle concepts, is seeking a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team in the DIFC area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned chefs and contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation and Cooking: Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to the restaurant’s standards.

• Menu Planning and Development: Collaborate with senior chefs in designing, testing, and implementing innovative menus that highlight seasonal and local ingredients.

• Kitchen Supervision: Oversee and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to maintain high productivity and teamwork.

• Inventory and Stock Management: Assist with inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with quality ingredients.

• Kitchen Hygiene and Safety: Ensure the kitchen and all associated equipment are maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards, complying with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a high-end dining environment, demonstrating a strong passion for culinary arts.

• Education: A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.

• Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus. Exceptional culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail are essential.

• Knowledge: Understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
