SUSHISAMBA Dubai is seeking a warm, attentive Hostess to be the welcoming face of our vibrant restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who loves people, thrives in a lively environment, and takes pride in creating excellent first impressions. As Hostess you will manage guest arrivals, coordinate seating, and support the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service flow during busy shifts. You will interact with a diverse, cosmopolitan clientele and work closely with reservations, servers and management to deliver a polished, efficient and friendly experience that reflects SUSHISAMBA’s high standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception: Greet guests promptly and warmly; manage check‑ins and guide guests to their tables.
  • Seating and Flow: Maintain the seating plan, manage waitlists, and communicate table status to servers and management.
  • Reservations Support: Assist with phone and in‑person reservation confirmations and basic enquiries; update reservation system as required.
  • Guest Communication: Provide accurate wait‑time estimates, handle simple guest requests, and relay special requirements to the service team.
  • Front‑of‑House Maintenance: Keep the host station and waiting area tidy and presentable; ensure menus and promotional materials are stocked.
  • Teamwork: Support servers and bussing staff during peak periods; assist with light administrative tasks and shift handovers.
  • Guest Recovery: Escalate guest concerns to supervisors and assist in delivering timely, courteous recovery actions.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years in a customer‑facing hospitality role preferred; restaurant experience advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and phone etiquette; calm, composed and friendly under pressure.
  • Technical: Basic familiarity with reservation systems and POS platforms is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Availability: Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Presentation: Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
  • Attributes: Reliable, punctual, team‑oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service.
