Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking an experienced Supervisor with a strong background in pre-opening operations to join our team ahead of our grand launch at J1 Beach, Dubai in July 2025. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in setting up operations, ensuring seamless workflows, and leading a team to deliver authentic Mexican dining experiences with excellence. The Supervisor will play a key role in establishing service standards, coordinating staff training, and ensuring the smooth execution of our pre-opening and ongoing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-opening preparations, including operational setup and staff onboarding.
  • Develop and implement service protocols to align with the brand’s casual dining concept.
  • Train and mentor staff in guest engagement, hospitality standards, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring quality service and adherence to policies.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize workflows, inventory management, and compliance.
  • Assist in menu rollout and beverage service coordination, including showcasing rich tequilas.
  • Ensure a welcoming environment for guests, actively resolving concerns with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene.
  • Support marketing initiatives, pre-opening events, and promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant pre-opening environment.
  • Strong leadership, team coordination, and staff training abilities.
  • Familiarity with Mexican cuisine and beverage service, particularly tequila offerings, is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage operations efficiently and adapt to a fast-paced hospitality setting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of UAE restaurant regulations.
