F&B Manager – Kenya: Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and service‑driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead our F&B operations in Kenya. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who combines strong operational expertise with leadership, innovation, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will oversee all F&B outlets, bars, banqueting, and culinary coordination to ensure the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction.

As the F&B Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the overall F&B strategy, driving revenue performance, and maintaining cost efficiency across the department. You will work closely with the Executive Chef, Restaurant Managers, and service teams to create memorable dining moments that reflect the brand’s identity and the cultural richness of the region. Your leadership will be essential in training teams, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that every guest interaction is warm, professional, and consistent.

This position requires a dynamic leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments, understands current F&B trends, and can balance creativity with operational discipline. You will oversee menu development, quality control, hygiene standards, inventory management, and guest feedback systems. Your ability to inspire teams, streamline processes, and elevate the guest experience will directly influence the hotel’s reputation and commercial success.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all F&B outlets, bars, and banqueting
  • Lead, train, and motivate F&B teams to deliver exceptional service
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and product innovation
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and quality standards
  • Drive revenue growth through upselling, promotions, and cost control
  • Monitor inventory, purchasing, and stock management
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly
  • Prepare departmental budgets, forecasts, and performance reports
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners
  • Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards and SOPs

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years of F&B leadership experience in a 4–5 star hotel
  • Proven experience managing multiple outlets and large teams
  • Strong knowledge of F&B operations, service standards, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Creative mindset with an understanding of global and local F&B trends
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high service standards
  • Experience in the Kenyan hospitality market is an advantage
