Chef de Partie – The Mangroves Abu Dhabi, LXR Hotels & Resorts | Abu Dhabi Jobs
The Chef de Partie runs a section of the kitchen and is responsible for the quality, consistency and presentation of every dish that leaves it. In a pre-opening setting you will help set up your station, test menus, train junior cooks and build the routines that keep service smooth. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, follow hotel food safety standards and take pride in producing refined food for guests of a luxury resort. As part of the pre-opening culinary and stewarding team, the Chef de Partie will help set kitchen standards from day one at The Mangroves Abu Dhabi, LXR Hotels & Resorts. The hotel is hosting an invitation-only Recruitment Day, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted with an invitation to attend. Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present dishes at your section to the standard set by the culinary leadership.
- Set up and organise the station so mise en place is ready before every service.
- Supervise and train Commis and kitchen assistants working in your section.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times.
- Manage stock, minimise waste and report shortages or equipment issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a hotel or quality restaurant.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety (HACCP).
- Ability to work under pressure in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; pre-opening experience is an advantage.
