The HSE Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring that all project activities comply with established health, safety, and environmental standards. This position supports the development and implementation of HSE systems, conducts inspections, and ensures adherence to UAE regulations and ALDAR requirements. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working closely with site teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across project sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement HSE plans, procedures, and project‑specific safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with UAE HSE regulations and ALDAR standards.
  • Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
  • Support the HSE Manager in audits, documentation, and compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, logs, and reports.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety rules across all site activities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry.
  • Mandatory ALDAR project experience.
  • Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations, codes, and best practices.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Must be currently based in the UAE.
  • Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
