We are looking for a professional, welcoming Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests and visitors at ME Dubai by Meliá. The ideal candidate delivers warm, efficient service, manages front‑desk operations with accuracy, and supports a smooth guest experience in a fast‑paced, luxury hotel environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and manage arrivals/departures: Greet guests, handle check‑ins and check‑outs, process payments, and issue room keys.
  • Telephone and email handling: Answer and route incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally; take and relay messages.
  • Guest services and concierge support: Respond to guest requests, provide local information, arrange transport and reservations, and coordinate with other departments.
  • Reservations and front‑desk administration: Assist with reservations, update guest profiles in the PMS, maintain accurate records, and prepare daily reports.
  • Cash handling and billing: Process payments, maintain cash float, reconcile transactions, and ensure billing accuracy.
  • Maintain lobby standards: Keep the reception area tidy, manage mail and deliveries, and ensure signage and guest information are up to date.
  • Handle guest feedback: Log and escalate complaints or service issues to the Front Office Supervisor or Manager and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Support team operations: Assist with shift handovers, cover other front‑desk duties as needed, and participate in training and briefings.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in Hospitality Management is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a front‑desk or customer service role; hotel experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational and multitasking abilities; basic numeracy for cash handling.
  • Technical: Familiarity with hotel PMS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages (Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian) are a strong plus.
  • Personal qualities: Professional appearance, friendly and composed under pressure, attention to detail, and a genuine guest‑service mindset.
  • Availability: Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
