1. Assistant Restaurant Manager
2. Pastry Commis 1
3. Hot Kitchen Commis 1
4. Cold Kitchen Commis 2
5. Kitchen Steward
Job Descriptions:
1. Assistant Restaurant Manager
- Oversee daily restaurant operations ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage and train restaurant staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Handle customer complaints, ensuring they are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
2. Pastry Commis 1
- Prepare a variety of pastries and desserts as per the restaurant or hotel’s menu.
- Assist in the daily preparation of baked goods, including breads, cakes, and pastries.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain freshness.
- Assist in inventory control and ordering ingredients as needed.
3. Hot Kitchen Commis 1
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot dishes in accordance with the hotel’s standards.
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning for hot dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
- Follow kitchen instructions carefully to meet quality and timing expectations.
- Assist with portioning and garnishing dishes before they are served to guests.
- Ensure the timely preparation of all dishes for service.
4. Cold Kitchen Commis 2
- Prepare and present cold dishes, including salads, sandwiches, and appetizers, ensuring they are aesthetically appealing and of high quality.
- Assist in the preparation of garnishes, dressings, and sauces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold kitchen area.
- Ensure the proper storage of ingredients, including cold storage and preparation areas.
- Assist senior kitchen staff with plating, presentation, and quality control.
- Follow health and safety regulations and maintain food safety standards.
5. Kitchen Steward
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure that the kitchen area is free of waste and clutter, contributing to a safe and organized environment.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including vegetable peeling, cleaning, and basic prep work.
- Ensure that trash and recycling are disposed of in compliance with hotel policies.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory control.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently based in the UAE
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the same role within a 4/5-star hotel
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for excellence in the hospitality industry
