Louzan Fashion Hospitality is seeking a motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, supporting senior kitchen staff, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. If you’re eager to learn, have a passion for cooking, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Support Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff in daily kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented according to the highest standards.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist with stock rotation, inventory, and ensuring kitchen supplies are fully stocked.
  • Prepare and organize ingredients and garnishes for cooking.
  • Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
  • Work as part of a team, maintaining good communication with other kitchen staff.
  • Take direction from senior kitchen staff and follow instructions to ensure smooth service.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or relevant training is preferred, but not essential.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
