Home Bakery is hiring experienced Restaurant Supervisors to lead our Front Of House team in Abu Dhabi. We’re looking for confident, service-driven leaders who can maintain high standards of guest experience, coach and motivate staff, and ensure smooth daily operations in a busy café and bakery environment. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of supervisory experience in casual dining or café concepts within the UAE, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to join immediately. This role combines hands-on service oversight with people management, operational accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement to help Home Bakery deliver consistent, welcoming hospitality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily Front Of House operations; ensure timely service flow between FOH and kitchen; manage opening and closing procedures.
- Team Management: Supervise, coach, and mentor waitstaff, baristas, and cashier/packaging team; conduct shift briefings and performance feedback; support recruitment and onboarding.
- Guest Experience: Monitor service standards and guest satisfaction; handle escalated guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Quality and Standards: Enforce food-safety, hygiene, and presentation standards; perform regular floor checks and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Scheduling and Labor Control: Create and adjust staff rosters to meet business needs; manage shift swaps and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
- Inventory and Reporting: Assist with stock checks, supply ordering, and basic inventory control for FOH items; prepare daily shift reports and communicate operational issues to management.
- Training and Development: Deliver on-the-job training for service techniques, POS usage, and customer interaction; foster a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in casual dining, stand-up cafés, or restaurant concepts within the UAE.
- Availability: Able to join immediately and work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead small teams, manage conflict, and maintain morale under pressure.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills; clear, professional interaction with guests and staff.
- Operational Competence: Familiarity with POS systems, basic inventory procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Attitude: Positive, guest-first mindset with attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Authorization: Valid UAE work permit and residency in Abu Dhabi preferred.
