M by Mirai Bahrain is recruiting energetic and reliable Food Runners to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for service-minded individuals who move quickly, communicate clearly, and take pride in supporting a smooth, high-quality dining experience. As a Food Runner you will be the vital link between kitchen and dining room—ensuring dishes arrive promptly, look perfect, and reach the right guest every time. You’ll work closely with servers and chefs in a fast-paced, refined Japanese dining environment where timing, presentation, and teamwork matter. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Timely Delivery — Collect plated dishes from the pass and deliver them to tables promptly and accurately.
  • Presentation Check — Inspect each plate for correct items, temperature, and presentation before service.
  • Table Support — Assist servers with clearing, bussing, and resetting tables to the restaurant’s standards.
  • Communication — Relay timing and special requests between kitchen and service team; notify chefs of any issues.
  • Side Work — Help with mise en place, refill condiments, restock service stations, and support opening/closing tasks.
  • Food Safety — Follow hygiene and food-handling procedures to maintain safe service at all times.
  • Guest Interaction — Be courteous and professional when interacting with guests while maintaining efficient service flow.

Requirements

  • Experience — Prior restaurant experience is an advantage but not required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Physical Stamina — Able to stand, walk, and carry trays for long shifts; comfortable lifting moderate weights.
  • Speed and Accuracy — Quick, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tickets during peak service.
  • Team Player — Strong communication skills, receptive to direction, and willing to support colleagues.
  • Presentation — Neat appearance and professional demeanor.
  • Availability — Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Legal — Right to work in Bahrain and any required local certifications where applicable.
