M by Mirai Bahrain is hiring a reliable and energetic Barback to support our bar team and help deliver seamless beverage service in a refined Japanese dining setting. As a Barback you will be essential to maintaining bar efficiency, presentation, and cleanliness so bartenders can focus on craft and guest interaction. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bar Support — Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes; replenish glassware and ice throughout service.
  • Preparation — Prepare garnishes, pre-batched mixers, and basic mise en place for bartenders.
  • Service Assistance — Assist bartenders during peak periods by fetching supplies, running drinks to service stations, and clearing used glassware.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance — Keep the bar, back bar, and service areas clean and organized; wash and polish glassware; maintain ice machines and refrigeration cleanliness.
  • Inventory Monitoring — Track stock levels, report shortages, and assist with deliveries and restocking.
  • Safety and Compliance — Follow hygiene, sanitation, and responsible service procedures at all times.
  • Teamwork — Communicate closely with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth timing and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience — Prior bar or restaurant experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training available.
  • Physical Fitness — Able to stand for long periods, lift and carry boxes of supplies, and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Speed and Reliability — Quick, organized, and able to prioritize under pressure.
  • Attitude — Positive, team-oriented, and willing to take direction.
  • Basic Knowledge — Familiarity with common glassware, basic cocktail components, and beverage service is an advantage.
  • Availability — Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Legal Requirements — Right to work in Bahrain and any required local certifications for food safety or hygiene where applicable.
