Position Overview

The Head Waiter plays a key role in leading the front-of-house team and ensuring seamless service delivery. This individual will be responsible for supervising waitstaff, engaging with guests, and supporting the management team in all service operations. As a senior member of the floor team, the Head Waiter will also assist with training, daily briefings, and maintaining service excellence throughout all shifts.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Waiter to join our pre-opening team and help set the standard for exceptional guest service from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the service team during daily operations

  • Set and maintain high standards of service and guest interaction

  • Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen, bar, and floor teams

  • Handle guest concerns or special requests professionally and promptly

  • Participate in pre-opening setup, including service procedures and staff onboarding

  • Assist with shift scheduling, staff evaluations, and training programs

  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of the dining area at all times

  • Promote a team culture of professionalism, respect, and performance

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in premium or lifestyle restaurants

  • Previous pre-opening experience is a strong advantage

  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to manage service during busy hours

  • Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus

  • Willing to relocate to Montenegro and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
