Al Ittihad Private School is seeking an inspiring, student‑focused Middle & High School English Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year at our Al Mamzar campus in Dubai. We are looking for an educator who brings literature, language, and critical thinking to life in the classroom. The ideal candidate will design engaging lessons, build strong reading and writing skills, and guide students in developing analytical thinking, communication, and creativity. You will play a key role in preparing learners for academic success, university readiness, and global citizenship. Duties and responsibilities
- Curriculum planning & instruction
Teach English Language Arts (ELA) across middle and high school levels, including literature, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
Plan standards‑aligned lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, and academic rigor. - Reading & writing development
Guide students through novel studies, literary analysis, research writing, and creative writing.
Support vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and structured writing processes. - Assessment & reporting
Design formative and summative assessments; analyze results to inform instruction.
Prepare progress reports and participate in parent‑teacher conferences. - Differentiation & student support
Adapt instruction for diverse learners, including English language learners.
Provide targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities. - Classroom culture & management
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages discussion, collaboration, and independent thinking. - Co‑curricular involvement
Support school events, literacy initiatives, debate/public speaking activities, and extracurricular programs. - Collaboration & professional growth
Work with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and participate in professional development.
Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and pastoral responsibilities.
Requirements
- Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field; teaching certification preferred. - Experience
Minimum 2 years teaching English at middle or high school level; international school experience is an advantage. - Skills
Strong command of English language and literature.
Ability to teach writing, analysis, and communication effectively.
Strong classroom management and assessment literacy.
Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools. - Attributes
Creative, articulate, organized, culturally sensitive, and committed to student success. - Compliance
Valid UAE work authorization, clear background checks, and willingness to complete onboarding and safeguarding training.
