Al Ittihad Private School is seeking an enthusiastic, student‑centered Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year at our Al Mamzar campus in Dubai. We want a teacher who builds conceptual understanding, fosters problem‑solving skills, and creates an inclusive classroom where every student is challenged and supported. The successful candidate will plan and deliver standards‑aligned lessons, use assessment data to inform instruction, differentiate for diverse learners, and contribute to co‑curricular activities such as math clubs and competitions. Duties and responsibilities
- Curriculum planning and instruction: Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned mathematics lessons across assigned grade levels.
- Conceptual focus and problem solving: Emphasize deep conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real‑world problem solving.
- Differentiation and intervention: Use varied instructional strategies and targeted interventions to meet diverse learner needs.
- Assessment and data use: Design and administer formative and summative assessments; analyse results to adapt teaching and report progress.
- Enrichment and extracurriculars: Lead or support math clubs, competitions, and enrichment activities to extend learning.
- Classroom environment and resources: Maintain an organised, stimulating classroom; integrate technology, manipulatives, and visual models effectively.
- Collaboration and professional growth: Work with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, participate in staff meetings, and engage in professional development.
- Safeguarding and pastoral duties: Uphold school safeguarding policies, maintain accurate records, and support students’ social‑emotional development as required.
Requirements
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years teaching mathematics at the relevant grade levels (upper primary or secondary); international school experience is an advantage.
- Subject knowledge: Strong command of curriculum topics relevant to assigned grades (Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Calculus as applicable).
- Pedagogical skills: Proven ability to design lessons that build conceptual understanding, use formative assessment, and differentiate instruction.
- Technical skills: Comfortable using educational technology and digital tools for instruction and assessment.
- Personal attributes: Patient, analytical, creative in instructional design, and able to motivate and inspire learners.
- Compliance: Valid UAE work authorization, clear background checks, and willingness to complete school onboarding and safeguarding training.
