Gates Hospitality is expanding our culinary team in Abu Dhabi, and we are looking for a dedicated, skilled, and ambitious Demi Chef de Partie to join our Back of House operations. As a DCDP, you will support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

You will work closely with senior chefs, assist in daily food preparation, maintain kitchen organization, and uphold strict hygiene and safety standards. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Chef de Partie in managing a designated kitchen section
  • Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking tasks according to recipes and standards
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene within the kitchen
  • Assist with stock rotation, labeling, and proper storage of ingredients
  • Follow food safety and HACCP guidelines at all times
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations
  • Contribute to training and guiding Commis Chefs when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or strong Commis background
  • Solid understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for culinary excellence
