🍰 Commis I (Pastry) – Rise Enterprise Qatar

Rise Enterprise Qatar is expanding its culinary team and is looking for a dedicated, skilled, and motivated Commis I (Pastry) to join our pastry section. This role is ideal for a pastry professional who has strong foundational skills, a passion for dessert creation, and the discipline to work in a fast‑paced, quality‑driven kitchen. Candidates of Asian nationality are preferred for this position.

At Rise Enterprise, we believe that great pastry work requires precision, creativity, and consistency. Our pastry team plays a key role in delivering desserts that are beautifully crafted, balanced in flavor, and aligned with our brand’s culinary standards. As a Commis I (Pastry), you will support the Demi Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef in daily production, mise en place, and service execution.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, baked goods, and other pastry items according to recipes and standards
  • Assist in daily mise en place, ensuring all ingredients and tools are prepared before service
  • Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry items
  • Follow instructions from the Demi CDP and Pastry Chef during production and service
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section at all times
  • Operate pastry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Support the team in developing new pastry items and seasonal specials
  • Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
  • Assist in inventory checks and reporting shortages or equipment issues

📌 Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis I or Commis II in a pastry or bakery environment
  • Strong foundation in pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen
  • Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Asian nationality preferred
  • Passion for pastry arts and a desire to grow within the culinary field
