Assistant General Manager — Job Posting Summary

We are seeking a proactive, service-driven Assistant General Manager to support daily operations, coach front-of-house teams, and help deliver exceptional guest experiences across our Dubai venue. This role partners closely with the General Manager to maintain standards, optimize service flow, and ensure operational excellence.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operational Support: Assist the General Manager with daily operations, opening and closing procedures, and shift handovers.
  • Shift Management: Lead shifts, manage staffing levels, and ensure smooth service during peak periods.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor front-of-house staff; conduct regular coaching and performance feedback.
  • Guest Relations: Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally; escalate issues when necessary to preserve guest satisfaction.
  • Standards and Compliance: Enforce service standards, health and safety protocols, and licensing requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with payroll input, scheduling, inventory counts, and basic reporting.
  • Sales and Service Growth: Support upselling initiatives, promotions, and guest retention programs to drive revenue.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years in supervisory or assistant management roles within restaurants, hotels, or hospitality venues.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop hourly teams; strong conflict-resolution skills.
  • Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling tools, inventory procedures, and basic financial concepts.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service-first mindset.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to work long shifts on your feet.
  • Personal Attributes: Organized, decisive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented.
  • Language: Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
