Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisor
- Lead shifts: manage baristas, waitstaff, and runners; coordinate shift handovers.
- Guest experience: resolve guest issues, ensure service standards.
- Operations: open/close procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliation.
- Training: onboard and coach staff; run refresher sessions.
- Stock and reporting: monitor inventory, place orders, submit shift reports.
- Health and safety: enforce hygiene and food‑safety standards.
Waiter Waitress
- Guest service: greet guests, take orders, deliver food and beverages.
- Table care: set, clear, and reset tables; maintain dining area cleanliness.
- Order coordination: liaise with kitchen and bar for accurate service.
- Upsell: recommend specials and add‑ons.
- Payments: process bills and assist with POS tasks.
Barista
- Specialty coffee preparation: pull espresso, steam milk, and prepare manual brews.
- Brew methods: execute pour‑over, Aeropress, V60, and other manual methods.
- Equipment care: clean and maintain espresso machines and grinders.
- Quality control: monitor extraction and taste; adjust grind and recipes.
- Customer interaction: explain menu, make recommendations, and maintain speed of service.
Runner
- Order delivery: deliver food and drinks to tables quickly and accurately.
- Clearing: clear plates and glassware; reset tables.
- Support: assist servers and baristas during peak service.
- Restocking: refill service stations and condiments.
Senior Chef de Partie
- Section leadership: run a kitchen station and supervise junior cooks.
- Cook and plate: prepare dishes to recipe and presentation standards.
- Quality and consistency: enforce portion control and taste profiles.
- Training: mentor commis and support menu development.
- Inventory: manage section stock and minimize waste.
Chef de Partie
- Station ownership: run a designated station during service.
- Prep and service: complete mise en place and execute menu items.
- Consistency: follow recipes and plating standards.
- Coordination: communicate with pass and front of house.
Pastry Commis
- Pastry prep: prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and sauces.
- Baking and finishing: bake, assemble, and plate pastries and desserts.
- Station upkeep: maintain pastry mise en place and equipment.
- Hygiene: follow allergen and food‑safety procedures.
Hot Commis
- Hot section prep: prepare stocks, sauces, and hot components.
- Cook and plate: execute hot‑section dishes to standard.
- Equipment use: operate ovens, grills, and fryers safely.
- Service support: maintain timing and ticket flow during service.
Cleaners
- Daily cleaning: sweep, mop, sanitize dining areas, restrooms, and staff zones.
- Waste management: empty bins and manage recycling.
- Deep cleaning: perform scheduled deep cleans of kitchen and front‑of‑house.
- Reporting: flag maintenance issues and supply shortages.
Requirements
Supervisor
- Experience: minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in hospitality.
- Skills: leadership, cash handling, reporting, strong communication.
- Availability: flexible including weekends and public holidays.
- Language: English required; Arabic advantageous.
- Right to work: UAE eligibility and commute to Al Ain.
Waiter Waitress
- Experience: 0–2 years preferred; hospitality experience advantageous.
- Skills: friendly, attentive, multitasking under pressure.
- Availability: flexible shifts including weekends.
- Language: English required; Arabic advantageous.
Barista
- Specialty coffee experience is a must; proven experience in a specialty coffee environment.
- Technical skills: espresso, milk steaming, manual brew competence.
- Experience: 1–2 years preferred; SCA or barista training advantageous.
- Availability: flexible shifts including weekends.
Runner
- Experience: preferred but not required.
- Skills: physically fit, fast, attentive, team player.
- Availability: flexible shifts.
Senior Chef de Partie
- Experience: minimum 3 years in professional kitchens with leadership experience.
- Qualifications: culinary diploma preferred; food‑safety certification advantageous.
- Skills: strong technique, section management, mentoring ability.
Chef de Partie
- Experience: 1–2 years in a professional kitchen; CDP experience preferred.
- Skills: reliable, organized, good knife skills.
- Qualifications: culinary training advantageous.
Pastry Commis
- Experience: 0–2 years in pastry or bakery roles preferred.
- Skills: basic baking techniques, attention to detail.
- Qualifications: pastry course or culinary school advantageous.
Hot Commis
- Experience: minimum 1 year in a professional kitchen with hot‑section exposure.
- Skills: solid basic cooking techniques and speed under pressure.
Cleaners
- Experience: preferred but not essential.
- Skills: attention to detail, reliability, ability to perform physical tasks.
- Availability: flexible shifts.
