Saddle House Sharjah is hiring a professional, service-minded Waiter to join our Front of House team. This role is ideal for a local candidate with hands-on F&B experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering friendly, efficient service. As a Waiter at Saddle House you will be responsible for creating positive guest interactions from the moment orders are taken until the bill is settled. You will work closely with the Captain Waiter, Head Waiter, baristas, and kitchen staff to ensure accurate order flow, timely delivery, and consistent presentation. The role demands strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask during busy shifts while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with menu items, basic beverage knowledge, and a guest-first attitude. This position offers the chance to develop skills within a supportive team that values growth, training, and internal promotion. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guest Service
    • Greet guests courteously and present menus; explain daily specials and answer basic menu questions.
    • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
    • Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring correct presentation and portioning.
  • Order Management
    • Coordinate with kitchen and bar to monitor order timing and sequence.
    • Check orders before service to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist with clearing and resetting tables efficiently to maintain steady table turns.
  • Billing and POS
    • Process bills accurately using the POS system and handle payments professionally.
    • Report any billing discrepancies to the Captain or Head Waiter for resolution.
  • Hygiene and Standards
    • Maintain cleanliness of service stations, tables, and guest areas.
    • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
    • Ensure cutlery, glassware, and condiments are stocked and presented to standard.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Support colleagues during peak periods and assist with side work as required.
    • Communicate guest feedback, allergies, and special requests to supervisors and kitchen staff.
    • Participate in briefings and follow instructions from senior FOH staff.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of waiter or F&B service experience in restaurants, cafés, or hotels.
  • Skills: Strong guest-facing skills, clear verbal communication, basic menu and beverage knowledge, and POS familiarity.
  • Personal Attributes: Friendly, punctual, well-groomed, able to multitask under pressure, and committed to delivering consistent service.
  • Physical: Able to stand and walk for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by service duties.
  • Eligibility: Local resident eligible to work in the UAE; flexible availability including weekends and public holidays.
