Abed General Enterprises Ltd is looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Storekeeper – Catering to support our catering operations by managing inventory, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining accurate stock records. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of our food service operations, requiring someone who is organized, proactive, and capable of handling fast‑paced environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in catering or food‑related stores management, strong knowledge of stock control procedures, and the ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen and procurement teams. Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming catering supplies and materials.
- Ensure proper storage of food items following safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate stock records, including daily consumption and stock levels.
- Issue materials to kitchen staff based on approved requisitions.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO) and report any discrepancies or shortages.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and prepare stock reports.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment of supplies.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store area at all times.
- Track expiry dates and ensure safe handling of perishable items.
- Support catering operations by ensuring uninterrupted supply availability.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Storekeeper in catering, hospitality, or food service.
- Strong understanding of food storage, stock control, and inventory procedures.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards related to food handling.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work with basic inventory systems.
- Physically fit and able to handle lifting and movement of stock items.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and meet operational deadlines.
