SUSHISAMBA Dubai is seeking a professional, service‑minded Reservations Agent (Arabic speaker) to join our front‑of‑house team and become the voice of the restaurant for a large and diverse guest base. In this role you will manage bookings, respond to enquiries, and ensure every reservation is handled with accuracy, warmth and cultural sensitivity. You will be the primary point of contact for Arabic‑speaking guests, helping to shape first impressions and smooth the guest journey from booking to arrival. The ideal candidate combines excellent phone and written communication in Arabic and English, strong administrative discipline, and a calm, solution‑focused approach to handling high volumes and last‑minute changes. This is a visible, fast‑paced role that requires attention to detail, discretion with guest information, and the ability to coordinate closely with hosts, managers and the kitchen to deliver seamless service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Reservations: Take and confirm reservations via phone, email and reservation platform; update the system promptly and accurately.
- Guest Communication: Respond to Arabic and English enquiries, provide clear information on menus, timings and special requests, and confirm VIP or group bookings.
- Coordination: Liaise with the host team, FOH managers and kitchen to manage covers, seating plans and special requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate guest profiles, notes on preferences, and reservation histories; log no‑shows and cancellations.
- Problem Solving: Handle booking conflicts, overbookings and last‑minute changes with composure; propose practical solutions and escalate when necessary.
- Upselling and Revenue Support: Suggest appropriate seating options, private dining or special experiences when relevant to increase covers and revenue.
- Reporting: Provide daily reservation summaries and highlight trends or VIP arrivals to management.
- Standards and Compliance: Ensure guest data is handled confidentially and follow company policies for bookings and deposits.
Requirements
- Language: Native or fluent Arabic and fluent English (spoken and written).
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in reservations, guest services or a customer‑facing hospitality role; experience with reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) preferred.
- Skills: Excellent phone manner, clear written communication, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Technical: Comfortable using reservation systems, email, and basic office software; accurate data entry and time management.
- Availability: Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by service.
- Attributes: Patient, discreet, proactive, able to multitask during peak periods, and committed to delivering a high standard of guest care.
- Legal: Right to work in the UAE or valid work permit.
