Home Bakery is hiring reliable Cashier / Packaging Staff to join our Front Of House team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for detail-oriented, customer-focused candidates who thrive in a fast-paced café and bakery environment. You will be the friendly face at the till, ensure accurate transactions, and package bakery items with care so every takeaway reflects our quality standards. We value team players who can multitask during peak periods, maintain cleanliness and food-safety standards, and support colleagues across service areas. Candidates with at least two years of UAE experience, immediate availability, and a positive attitude will be prioritized. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Point of Sale Operations: Accurately operate the POS system; process cash, card, and contactless payments; issue receipts and handle refunds or exchanges according to policy.
  • Order Handling: Receive and confirm takeaway and delivery orders; prepare and package bakery items and beverages for pickup with correct labeling and presentation.
  • Packaging Quality: Ensure all items are packaged securely and attractively; check orders for completeness and quality before handover.
  • Customer Service: Greet guests warmly; answer basic menu questions; manage queue flow during busy periods and escalate guest concerns to supervisors.
  • Cash Management: Perform cash counts, reconcile tills at shift end, and follow cash-handling procedures to maintain accuracy and security.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain cleanliness of cashier and packaging areas; follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling protocols.
  • Support Tasks: Assist with stock rotation, unpacking deliveries, restocking packaging supplies, and light housekeeping duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in cashier, retail, café, or food-service roles within the UAE.
  • Availability: Able to join immediately and work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
  • Skills: Strong numeracy and attention to detail; comfortable using POS systems; basic English communication skills.
  • Attitude: Friendly, patient, and customer-focused with the ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during peak service.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of basic food-safety practices; willingness to follow company procedures and hygiene standards.
  • Authorization: Valid UAE work permit and residency in Abu Dhabi preferred.
