Duties and Responsibilities

Common responsibilities for all roles

• Deliver exceptional guest service consistent with Cipriani standards.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service, handovers, and communication between FOH and BOH.
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations and internal operating procedures.

Head Waiter Head Waitress

• Lead and supervise the service team during shifts; coach and mentor junior staff.
• Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow to maximise service efficiency.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues with diplomacy.
• Assist management with shift scheduling, training, and performance reviews.

Waiter Waitress

• Welcome and seat guests, present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Recommend menu items and wine pairings, ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Check back with guests and handle payments confidently and accurately.

Bartender

• Craft classic and signature cocktails to recipe standards; maintain consistent drink quality.
• Manage the bar station including stock rotation, garnishes, and mise en place.
• Upsell responsibly and ensure prompt, attentive service at the bar.

Barback

• Support bartenders by restocking glassware, ice, and supplies; clear and clean bar area.
• Assist with inventory counts and deliveries, help maintain bar equipment.
• Respond quickly to service needs and keep the bar running smoothly during busy periods.
