Commis 1 (Emirati cuisine)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis 1 specializing in Emirati Cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing and presenting traditional Emirati dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and authenticity.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking traditional Emirati dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.​

• Station Management: Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and timely preparation of dishes.​

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of ingredients, place orders when necessary, and ensure proper storage to maintain freshness and quality.​

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.​

• Training and Development: Assist in training junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge of Emirati culinary techniques and recipes.​

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.​

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emirati cuisine within a high-volume kitchen environment.​

• Education: Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.​

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in traditional Emirati cooking techniques and recipes.​

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.​

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.​

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.​
