La Brioche Café et Pâtisserie is hiring a Restaurant Supervisor for its Dubai opening. This hands‑on supervisory role supports the Restaurant Manager by leading front‑of‑house shifts, coaching service staff, and ensuring smooth, guest‑focused operations. You will maintain service standards, manage daily shift logistics, assist with training and rostering, and act as the manager on duty when required. The ideal candidate brings strong customer service instincts, practical supervisory experience in a fast‑paced F&B environment, and the ability to keep a calm, efficient floor during busy periods.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shift Supervision and Service Flow
    • Lead FOH shifts; ensure timely seating, order flow, and table turns.
    • Monitor service pace and coordinate with kitchen and bar to meet timing targets.
  • Team Coaching and Development
    • Coach waitstaff and baristas on product knowledge, upselling, and service etiquette.
    • Run pre‑shift briefings, on‑shift coaching moments, and support performance feedback.
  • Guest Experience and Recovery
    • Greet and engage guests, handle enquiries, and resolve complaints professionally.
    • Follow up on guest feedback and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Operational Tasks
    • Manage reservations, walk‑ins, and seating plans; oversee POS accuracy and order checks.
    • Ensure side work, station setup, and closing checklists are completed to standard.
  • Stock and Cash Handling Support
    • Monitor FOH consumables and report low stock to the Store Keeper or Manager.
    • Assist with cash handling, shift reconciliation, and basic reporting as required.
  • Health Safety and Compliance
    • Enforce hygiene and food safety standards in FOH areas; ensure HACCP procedures are followed.
    • Maintain incident logs and report hazards or equipment faults promptly.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in restaurants, cafés, or patisseries; prior shift leader or senior waiter experience preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong guest service skills, confident communication, and the ability to coach junior staff.
    • Familiarity with POS systems, reservation tools, and basic cash handling procedures.
    • Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Personal Attributes
    • Professional presentation, punctuality, and a positive, can‑do attitude.
    • Calm under pressure, detail‑oriented, and team‑focused.
  • Eligibility and Availability
    • Eligible to work in the UAE; flexible availability including weekends and public holidays.
    • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
