Saddle House is hiring Stewards for our Dubai and Sharjah kitchens. This role ensures clean, safe, and efficient back‑of‑house operations by managing dishwashing, basic kitchen cleaning, equipment care, and support tasks that keep service running smoothly. Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit, and familiar with hygiene standards in a high‑volume hospitality environment. Duties and Responsibilities

Core Stewarding Tasks

  • Dishwashing and Cleaning — Operate dishwashing machines and manual sinks; ensure all pots, pans, utensils, and serviceware are cleaned, sanitized, and stored correctly.
  • Kitchen Housekeeping — Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, and waste areas; follow daily and deep‑clean schedules.
  • Waste Management — Sort and dispose of waste according to local regulations and company recycling procedures; monitor grease traps and bins.

Equipment and Maintenance Support

  • Equipment Care — Clean and inspect small equipment, trays, and service trolleys; report faults and coordinate basic preventive maintenance.
  • Receiving Assistance — Help with unloading deliveries, checking packaging, and moving stock to storerooms or cold rooms under Store Keeper direction.

Food Safety and Compliance

  • Hygiene Standards — Follow HACCP procedures, personal hygiene rules, and cross‑contamination controls; complete temperature and cleaning logs as required.
  • Safety Practices — Use correct lifting techniques, PPE, and safe chemical handling procedures; report hazards immediately.

Teamwork and Operational Support

  • Service Readiness — Ensure service stations are stocked with clean equipment and disposables; support chefs and commis during peak service.
  • Shift Communication — Attend briefings, follow supervisor instructions, and hand over tasks clearly at shift end.

Requirements

  • Experience — 6 months to 2 years in stewarding, kitchen porter, or similar hospitality role preferred.
  • Skills — Familiarity with industrial dishwashers, cleaning chemicals, and basic kitchen equipment; able to follow checklists and instructions.
  • Physical — Able to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights safely, and work in hot, fast environments.
  • Certifications — Food safety or hygiene training (HACCP awareness) is an advantage.
  • Personal Attributes — Reliable, punctual, detail‑oriented, team player, and able to work under pressure.
  • Eligibility — Local resident eligible to work in the UAE; flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
