Saddle House Sharjah is recruiting an experienced, service-driven Head Waiter to lead our Front of House team. This senior FOH role is ideal for a local hospitality professional who combines strong leadership with hands-on service excellence. As Head Waiter you will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, coaching and mentoring wait staff, managing table flow and reservations, and ensuring every guest receives a polished, consistent dining experience. You will act as the primary point of contact for guest escalations and VIPs, coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to guarantee timely delivery and presentation of dishes, and drive upselling and revenue through attentive, informed service. The role requires proven supervisory experience in a busy restaurant, excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, and the ability to perform under pressure while modeling professionalism and a guest-first mindset. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Training
    • Supervise and motivate the service team during shifts; assign sections and duties.
    • Train new and existing staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and upselling techniques.
    • Conduct briefings before service and debriefs after shifts to reinforce standards and address issues.
  • Service Quality and Guest Experience
    • Ensure consistent, high-quality service across all sections; monitor timing, presentation, and guest interactions.
    • Greet and assist VIPs and handle guest complaints or special requests with discretion and professionalism.
    • Maintain a visible presence on the floor to support staff and engage with guests.
  • Operational Coordination
    • Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to manage order flow, timing, and special requests.
    • Oversee reservation management and table allocation to optimize covers and minimize wait times.
    • Ensure accurate billing and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Standards, Safety, and Reporting
    • Enforce hygiene, safety, and service protocols; ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Monitor stock usage for service items (e.g., condiments, menus, tableware) and report shortages.
    • Provide shift reports and feedback to management on performance, guest feedback, and staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel F&B environment, with demonstrable success leading service teams.
  • Language: Fluent Arabic is required; strong English communication skills are essential.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills; strong menu knowledge and upselling ability; confident guest-facing presence.
  • Technical: Familiarity with POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic cash-handling procedures.
  • Personal Attributes: Professional appearance, punctuality, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative, service-oriented attitude.
  • Eligibility: Local resident eligible to work in the UAE; flexible availability including weekends and public holidays.
