General Manager — Job Posting Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead daily operations, own the P&L, and deliver exceptional guest experiences across our Dubai venue. This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a hands-on approach to operations, team development, and brand standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensure smooth service flow, and maintain brand standards.
- P&L Ownership: Manage revenue, labor, and cost controls; prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and daily sales reports.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and develop managers and hourly staff; conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
- Guest Experience: Set and enforce service standards, handle escalated guest issues, and drive initiatives to improve satisfaction and retention.
- Inventory and Vendor Management: Oversee purchasing, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and stock accuracy.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to licensing, health and safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Operational Systems: Maintain POS, scheduling, and reporting systems; implement SOPs and continuous improvement processes.
- Marketing and Sales Collaboration: Partner with marketing and events teams to drive promotions, private events, and local partnerships.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–7 years managing full-service restaurants, hotels, or hospitality venues with P&L responsibility; prior GM or Senior Manager experience preferred.
- Commercial Skills: Strong financial literacy with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and margin management.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, coach managers, and reduce turnover.
- Operational Knowledge: Proficient with POS systems, scheduling tools, inventory procedures, and operational reporting.
- Customer Focus: Exceptional communication and conflict-resolution skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Availability: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to work long shifts on your feet.
- Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
- Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
