Position: Food and Beverage Sales Manager
Location: Taj Jumeira Lakes Tower, Dubai
Employment Type: Full time; strategic commercial role focused on driving F&B revenue across hotel outlets, banqueting, events, and third‑party catering.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Sales and Business Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive F&B sales plan aligned with hotel revenue targets and seasonal priorities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate accounts, travel trade, MICE, weddings, private events, and third‑party catering.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools; forecast revenue and report on pipeline health regularly.
Account Management and Client Relations
- Manage key accounts and cultivate long‑term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, agencies, and local partners.
- Conduct regular client visits, site inspections, and tailored presentations to convert leads into confirmed business.
- Negotiate contracts, proposals, and commercial terms while protecting hotel margins and brand standards.
Banqueting and Events Sales
- Lead sales for banquets, conferences, weddings, and private dining; coordinate with Banqueting, Culinary, and Events teams to deliver seamless execution.
- Create compelling event proposals and banquet BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) that reflect client needs and operational feasibility.
- Support pre‑event planning, attend client meetings, and participate in on‑site walkthroughs for high‑value events.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, F&B Operations, and Reservations to align pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies.
- Provide commercial input into menu engineering, package design, and promotional campaigns to maximise revenue per cover and event profitability.
- Coordinate with the Marketing team on digital campaigns, social media activations, and trade events to amplify sales efforts.
Reporting and Performance Management
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, performance dashboards, and post‑event analyses to inform management decisions.
- Track KPIs including covers, average spend, banquet revenue, conversion rates, and client retention.
- Use data to refine sales tactics, identify growth segments, and recommend tactical promotions.
Team Leadership and Training
- Mentor and support junior sales staff and banquet coordinators; share best practices for client engagement and closing techniques.
- Deliver sales training sessions for F&B supervisors and outlet managers to improve upselling and group conversion.
- Represent the sales function in cross‑departmental meetings and lead by example in client interactions.
Market Intelligence and Networking
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics in Dubai’s hospitality and events sector.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and raise the hotel’s profile.
- Develop partnerships with local venues, suppliers, and corporate travel buyers to expand referral channels.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 4–6 years of progressive sales experience in hotel F&B, banqueting, or events sales at a 4‑ or 5‑star property.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and growing banquet and outlet sales in a competitive market.
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, contract negotiation, and margin management.
- Excellent presentation, proposal writing, and client‑facing skills; confident delivering pitches to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM and PMS systems, Microsoft Office (Excel for reporting), and event management tools.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and complex event requirements.
Language and Cultural Fit
- Fluent English required; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and respectful of local customs and business etiquette.
