Join Nezha Restaurant & Café as a Demi Chef and work closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, assist in menu execution, and mentor junior cooks. This role suits a motivated cook ready to take on supervisory responsibilities while continuing to develop culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support: Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing daily service and specials
  • Supervision: Oversee commis and junior kitchen staff during service and prep
  • Preparation: Prepare ingredients, cook dishes to recipe and plating standards
  • Quality Control: Ensure consistency, portion control, and presentation quality
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and enforce food safety standards
  • Stock Management: Receive deliveries, monitor inventory, and report shortages

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or café, with some supervisory exposure preferred
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Work Style: Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment; reliable and organized
  • Teamwork: Positive attitude and ability to lead by example
  • Availability: Flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
