Clap of Flour, the newest Pasta Bar Concept by Glee Hospitality Group, is gearing up to open at the vibrant Canal Front in Dubai. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis Chef with a passion for pasta-making and Italian cuisine.
This role is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and develop their culinary skills in a professional kitchen environment. As a Commis Chef, you will support senior chefs in daily operations, assist with pasta preparation, and help maintain the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness. If you are reliable, detail‑oriented, and enthusiastic about building a career in the kitchen, we’d love to meet you.

👨‍🍳 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in pasta preparation, dough mixing, shaping, and basic sauce work.
  • Support senior chefs with mise en place and daily prep tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.
  • Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and kitchen standards accurately.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
  • Assist during service to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

🎯 Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef (Italian or pasta-focused kitchens preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of pasta-making techniques is an advantage.
  • Locally available in the UAE.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
  • Commitment to hygiene, food safety, and teamwork.
