Baristas

We are hiring Baristas to join EATX in Dubai. Deliver exceptional coffee and beverage experiences across our cafés and restaurant concepts, maintain high standards of drink quality and guest service, and help create a warm, efficient front‑of‑house environment.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages including espresso‑based drinks, filter coffee, cold brews, and specialty seasonal beverages to company standards.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers; perform daily cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure drink quality by following recipes, dosing, tamping, and extraction best practices; monitor consistency and taste.
• Deliver excellent guest service by greeting customers, taking orders, making recommendations, and handling complaints professionally.
• Maintain café cleanliness including workstations, display cases, and front‑of‑house areas; follow opening and closing checklists.
• Handle transactions accurately using POS systems and process payments.
• Manage stock and supplies by restocking ingredients, logging inventory needs, and rotating perishables.
• Support events and peak service by working collaboratively with kitchen and service teams during high volume periods and private functions.
• Train and mentor junior baristas when required and contribute to continuous improvement of beverage programs.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a barista or in a high‑volume café environment.
• Skills: Strong espresso and milk‑texturing technique; knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and basic latte art.
• Language: Fluent English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
• Customer service: Friendly, patient, and guest‑focused with excellent communication skills.
• Technical: Comfortable using commercial espresso machines, grinders, and POS systems.
• Physical: Able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 15 kg, and work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Legal: Right to work in the UAE.
• Preferred: Barista certification, SCA training, or prior experience with specialty coffee programs; food safety certification is a plus.
