Luxe Plaza is hiring immediately for kitchen and stewarding roles in Dubai. This opportunity is open only to candidates currently located in the UAE. Available positions: Chef de Partie (CDP), Commis I, Commis II, Stewarding Supervisor, and Kitchen Helper. Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience in 3- or 4-star hotels in the Middle East. Package is negotiable and immediate joiners are preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Common responsibilities
- Follow kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures to meet local regulations and brand standards.
- Work effectively as part of a brigade, maintaining clear communication with chefs, service teams, and supervisors.
- Maintain station cleanliness and organisation, including proper storage, labelling, and stock rotation.
- Adhere to shift schedules, punctuality, and professional appearance.
Chef de Partie (CDP)
- Oversee a designated hot or cold station, ensure recipe adherence and portion control.
- Train and coach commis staff, monitor quality and consistency during service.
- Manage mise en place for the station and assist in menu execution and plating standards.
Commis I / Commis II
- Support the CDP with prep work, basic cooking tasks, and maintaining mise en place.
- Execute assigned dishes to recipe standards, assist with portioning and plating.
- Keep work area cleaned and prepped for service, report issues to senior chefs.
Stewarding Supervisor
- Lead the stewarding team, ensuring all dishwashing, cleaning, and garbage procedures meet hygiene standards.
- Manage equipment maintenance and breakdown reporting, supervise cleaning schedules and chemicals handling.
- Coordinate with kitchen and F&B teams to ensure timely collection and return of cookware and service ware.
Kitchen Helper
- Assist with basic food prep, vegetable washing, and portioning under supervision.
- Support stewards and cooks by moving supplies, cleaning workstations, and restocking storage.
- Perform general cleaning and assist during peak service times to keep workflow efficient.
