BOCA is a modern Spanish-inspired restaurant and bar nestled in the heart of Dubai’s financial district, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Established in 2014, BOCA has evolved into a culinary destination that celebrates Spain’s rich culinary heritage while embracing sustainable practices and local sourcing.
Location: Situated in Gate Village 6, DIFC, Dubai, BOCA offers a vibrant and laid-back atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
Culinary Philosophy: BOCA’s menu is a fusion of traditional Spanish flavors and contemporary techniques, emphasizing fresh, market-selected vegetables, seafood, and seasonal produce. The kitchen collaborates with local farms and fishermen, sourcing ingredients like Dibba Bay oysters from the UAE’s eastern coast. This commitment to local sourcing not only supports regional agriculture but also reduces the carbon footprint associated with long-distance food transportation.
Sustainability Initiatives: Environmental stewardship is at the core of BOCA’s mission. The restaurant operates on 100% renewable energy and has published its carbon emissions report, aiming to lead by example in the region’s hospitality industry. BOCA’s sustainability efforts have been recognized with accolades such as the MICHELIN Green Star and the Gault&Millau “Sustainable Kitchen of the Year” award.
