Bar supervisors – Zeus restaurant and lounge JBR

Job Description:

Zeus Restaurant and Lounge, a premium dining and nightlife venue in Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), is seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As the Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing the bar team to deliver a top-tier experience for our guests. You will lead by example, maintain high standards, and ensure the bar runs smoothly and efficiently during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

• Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to ensure they maintain high levels of service and follow proper procedures.

• Monitor the preparation and presentation of drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.

• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and controlling wastage.

• Ensure that the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked for service.

• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring timely resolutions and a positive guest experience.

• Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with local liquor laws and company policies.

• Assist in the development of new cocktail menus and special promotions.

• Prepare daily reports on stock levels, sales, and staff performance.

• Work closely with management to create and implement staff schedules and ensure the proper allocation of resources during busy periods.

• Maintain a positive, professional, and productive work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role within the bar or hospitality industry.

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

• In-depth knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and bar operations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both guests and staff professionally.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work well under pressure, particularly during peak service times.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

• Fluent in English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus).

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• A bartending certification or equivalent training is a plus.
