Al Khoory Hotels is seeking a professional Telephone Operator to join our front-of-house team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment, delivers clear and courteous telephone communication, and supports guest services with efficiency and a positive attitude. Immediate joiners preferred.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Answer and route calls promptly and professionally using the hotel switchboard.
  • Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local directions.
  • Handle guest requests and wake-up calls, logging and following up as required.
  • Coordinate with departments (housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, F&B) to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of messages, call logs, and service requests.
  • Escalate issues to supervisors when necessary and assist during peak periods or emergencies.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards in all communications.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a hotel telephone/switchboard or guest services role preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong telephone etiquette, clear diction, active listening, and basic computer literacy (MS Office, property management systems).
  • Personal qualities: Friendly, patient, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Availability: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Legal: Valid right to work in the UAE.
