STP Operator (Sewage Treatment Plant Operator)

S.J. Abed General Enterprises Ltd is seeking a knowledgeable and responsible STP Operator to manage and operate sewage treatment plant systems across our facilities. This role is essential to ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant treatment of wastewater in accordance with environmental and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with STP equipment, strong technical understanding of treatment processes, and the ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain plant operations. We are looking for someone who is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced operational environment. Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor sewage treatment plant equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of pumps, blowers, filters, tanks, and control panels.
• Perform daily sampling, testing, and analysis of wastewater quality.
• Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes as required.
• Maintain accurate logs of plant operations, readings, and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and perform minor repairs when needed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for major repairs or equipment servicing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the STP facility.
• Report abnormalities, breakdowns, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an STP Operator or in wastewater treatment operations.
• Strong understanding of sewage treatment processes and equipment.
• Ability to conduct basic water quality tests and interpret results.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, environmental regulations, and plant operations.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in plant environments.
• Technical certification in wastewater treatment or related field preferred.
