Barista — Al Ain
PDL Coffee Co is seeking an experienced, passionate Barista to join our Al Ain team. This role requires hands-on specialty coffee skills, a commitment to consistency, and a warm service style to deliver exceptional coffee experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coffee Preparation — Pull espresso shots, steam milk, and prepare specialty beverages to PDL standards.
• Brew Methods — Execute manual brew methods (pour-over, Aeropress, V60, etc.) with precision and consistency.
• Equipment Care — Maintain, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting on espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
• Quality Control — Monitor extraction, taste profiles, and presentation; adjust recipes and grind settings as needed.
• Customer Interaction — Greet guests, explain menu items, make recommendations, and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Inventory Support — Track coffee and consumable stock, assist with deliveries, and minimize waste.
• Training and Mentorship — Coach junior staff on drink preparation, latte art, and coffee knowledge.
• Hygiene and Safety — Follow food safety and hygiene procedures and maintain a clean work station.

Requirements

• Specialty Coffee Experience — Specialty coffee experience is a must; proven barista experience in a specialty coffee environment.
• Technical Skills — Strong espresso and milk-steaming technique; confident with manual brew methods and grinder/espresso calibration.
• Experience — Minimum 1–2 years in specialty coffee preferred.
• Skills — Excellent attention to detail, speed under pressure, and clear communication.
• Qualifications — Barista training or SCA certifications are an advantage.
• Availability — Flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays.
• Language — Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Personal Attributes — Passion for coffee, team-oriented, punctual, and customer-focused.
• Legal — Right to work in the UAE and ability to commute to Al Ain.
