We are seeking a versatile, reliable, and highly competent Multi‑Skilled Technician (All‑Round) to support the engineering and maintenance operations of our hotel in Kenya. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with strong technical expertise across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with brand standards.

As a Multi‑Skilled Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to guest and departmental requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the smooth functioning of all engineering operations. You will work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and other team members to maintain the property’s physical condition, minimize downtime, and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

This position requires a proactive individual with strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You must be comfortable handling a wide range of tasks, prioritizing work orders, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. Your technical skills, professionalism, and commitment to quality will directly contribute to the hotel’s operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, and building systems
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities and identify areas for improvement
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and maintenance logs
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Assist with emergency repairs and after‑hours call‑outs when required
• Collaborate with contractors and external service providers
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in good condition

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in general maintenance or multi‑skilled technical roles
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance is an advantage
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and safety instructions
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
• Certification in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trades is preferred
• High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
