The HSE Officer plays a key role in ensuring that daily site operations comply with established health, safety, and environmental standards. This position is responsible for monitoring site activities, identifying hazards, enforcing safety rules, and supporting the implementation of HSE procedures in alignment with UAE regulations and ALDAR requirements. The ideal candidate is observant, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with site teams to uphold a strong safety culture.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, hazard identification, and safety observations.
  • Report unsafe conditions and support corrective action implementation.
  • Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and documentation.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety rules across all work areas.
  • Maintain accurate safety logs, checklists, and inspection records.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and response coordination.
  • Collaborate with HSE Engineers and the HSE Manager to maintain compliance with ALDAR standards.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all project teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry.
  • Mandatory ALDAR project experience.
  • Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations and site safety practices.
  • Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Must be currently based in the UAE.
  • Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
