We are hiring a friendly, professional Hostess to join our front‑of‑house team. The Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for delivering a warm welcome, managing reservations and seating, and ensuring a smooth guest flow during service. This is a full‑time role based at one of AlphaMind Group’s venues in Dubai; weekend and evening shifts are required.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Guest reception: Greet guests promptly and courteously; manage the waiting area and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Reservations management: Answer phone and online reservation requests, confirm bookings, update the reservation system, and manage walk‑ins.
  • Seating coordination: Escort guests to tables, coordinate table turns with service staff, and manage priority or VIP seating.
  • Communication: Liaise with FOH and BOH teams to ensure timely seating, special requests, and accurate service handovers.
  • Guest assistance: Provide menu guidance, answer basic venue questions, and handle guest enquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Appearance and standards: Maintain a professional appearance and uphold venue standards for cleanliness and presentation at the host station.
  • Problem resolution: Calmly and professionally handle guest complaints or seating issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Administrative tasks: Maintain reservation logs, prepare seating plans for busy shifts, and assist with light administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of front‑of‑house or hostess experience in a high‑volume restaurant, lounge, or hotel preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Attitude: Friendly, composed under pressure, guest‑focused, and a team player.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Language: Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Presentation: Professional grooming and a polished appearance.
  • Right to work: Legal authorization to work in the UAE.
