Position: Front Office Associate — Arabic Speaker
Location: Taj Jumeira Lakes Tower, Dubai
Employment Type: Full time; frontline guest‑facing role supporting reception, guest services, and daily front office operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Reception and Arrival Experience
- Greet and welcome arriving guests with a professional, friendly demeanour and ensure a smooth, efficient check‑in process.
- Verify guest details, process payments, issue room keys, and explain hotel facilities, services, and policies.
- Anticipate guest needs and offer personalised recommendations for dining, transport, and local attractions.
Reservations and Front Desk Operations
- Manage reservations and room allocations using the hotel’s property management system; update guest profiles and preferences accurately.
- Coordinate with Reservations, Housekeeping, and Revenue teams to optimize room inventory and ensure readiness for arrivals.
- Handle group bookings and special requests, liaising with relevant departments to deliver on guest expectations.
Guest Communication and Problem Resolution
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person in Arabic and English, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Resolve guest complaints and service issues calmly and effectively, escalating to supervisors when necessary and following up to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate logs of guest incidents, lost and found items, and service recovery actions.
Concierge and Service Coordination
- Assist with concierge duties such as arranging transportation, restaurant reservations, tours, and special occasions.
- Coordinate wake‑up calls, messages, and guest requests; ensure timely delivery of services through internal communication channels.
- Support VIP and loyalty programme guests with personalised attention and discreet service.
Administrative and Financial Tasks
- Process guest folios, settle accounts, and prepare daily front office reports and cash reconciliations.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and adhere to hotel policies on data protection and privacy.
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain clear, professional communication with colleagues and management.
Standards and Continuous Improvement
- Uphold Taj brand standards for service, grooming, and conduct at all times.
- Participate in training, briefings, and quality audits; contribute ideas to improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Support emergency procedures and safety protocols when required.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in a front office, guest services, or hospitality reception role at a 4‑ or 5‑star property.
- Fluent Arabic speaker with excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience with property management systems (PMS), Microsoft Office, and reservation platforms.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
- Professional presentation, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Strong numerical accuracy for billing and cash handling; attention to detail in record keeping.
- Problem‑solving aptitude and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks during busy shifts.
