Food & Beverage Coordinator – Pre-Opening Team | Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant, DubaiJob Summary

Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Food & Beverage Coordinator to join our pre-opening team ahead of our grand launch at J1 Beach, Dubai in July 2025. This role is ideal for someone with pre-opening experience who excels in inventory management, supplier coordination, menu planning, and overall F&B operations support. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure the seamless execution of food and beverage programs, supporting both front and back-of-house teams in maintaining quality and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-opening F&B setup, including sourcing ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality control.
  • Manage inventory tracking, stock levels, and purchasing schedules for food and beverage items.
  • Support menu development by collaborating with chefs and bartenders on ingredient selection.
  • Oversee compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Work with the management team on cost control strategies, budgeting, and vendor negotiations.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen, bar, and service teams for optimal efficiency.
  • Assist with special event planning, promotions, and pre-launch activities.
  • Uphold Zapata Je’s commitment to delivering authentic Mexican flavors and premium beverages.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Coordinator or similar role in a restaurant/hospitality setting.
  • Pre-opening experience in setting up F&B operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, supplier coordination, and menu planning.
  • Familiarity with Mexican cuisine and premium beverage selections, including tequila.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers.
