Cashier – Zea Restaurant Dubai

Position Summary

Zea Restaurant Dubai is seeking a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused Cashier to join our front‑of‑house team. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth financial transactions, accurate billing, and a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, trustworthy, and comfortable handling payments in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the POS system, processing payments, issuing receipts, and coordinating with the service team to ensure that all orders are accurately recorded. You will also assist with guest inquiries, support the reservation and seating process when needed, and maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the counter. Your ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and communicate clearly with both guests and colleagues will be essential to your success.

A successful Cashier at Zea is someone who combines technical accuracy with warm customer service. You should be comfortable working with digital payment systems, handling cash responsibly, and resolving billing concerns with patience and professionalism. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process guest payments accurately via cash, card, and digital methods.
  • Operate the POS system and ensure correct entry of orders.
  • Issue receipts, manage bills, and handle split payments.
  • Coordinate with waitstaff to verify order accuracy.
  • Assist with guest inquiries and provide basic menu information.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station.
  • Handle refunds, voids, and adjustments according to policy.
  • Support the hostess and service team during peak hours.
  • Uphold grooming, hygiene, and service standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Cashier in a restaurant, café, or retail environment.
  • Strong numerical and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and payment processing.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Immediate joiners or short‑notice candidates preferred.
