We’re seeking a skilled coffee professional who combines technical excellence with warm hospitality to deliver consistently outstanding espresso‑based and specialty coffee experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a high‑standards environment, cares deeply about product quality and presentation, and enjoys coaching guests through coffee choices. This role is frontline and collaborative: you’ll work closely with the culinary and FOH teams to support service flow, contribute to beverage development, and help shape Montauk’s coffee identity from launch. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare high‑quality espresso‑based and filter coffee beverages to recipe and presentation standards.
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and related equipment; perform daily calibration and cleaning.
  • Execute latte art and consistent beverage garnishes for premium presentation.
  • Manage the coffee station including inventory, stock rotation, and par level monitoring.
  • Process transactions using POS, handle to‑go orders, and assist with packaging retail coffee.
  • Advise guests on coffee selections, brewing methods, and pairings; upsell specialty drinks and retail products.
  • Support service during peak periods, assist with light food plating, and collaborate on beverage menu development.
  • Uphold hygiene and safety standards, follow HACCP and food safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years in specialty coffee or upscale F&B environments.
  • Skills: Strong espresso extraction and milk‑texturing skills; basic latte art; grinder and machine calibration knowledge.
  • Technical: Comfortable with manual and automatic brewing methods (espresso, pour‑over, batch brew); POS experience.
  • Personal: Excellent guest manner, clear communication in English; calm under pressure and team‑oriented.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Eligibility: Legal right to work in the UAE.
  • Desirable: Barista certification, coffee‑roasting or sensory training, and experience with retail coffee sales.
