Assistant Waiter — Ammos Greek Restaurant Dubai
Ammos is seeking a friendly, attentive, and service‑driven Assistant Waiter to join our front‑of‑house team and help deliver genuine Mediterranean hospitality in a busy, high‑energy setting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fast‑paced service, takes pride in attention to detail, and wants to learn the craft of elevated table service within a supportive team. As Assistant Waiter you will support servers and the Head Waiter with mise en place, guest care, and smooth service flow, gaining hands‑on experience in food and beverage pairing, fine dining techniques, and guest relations. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service Support: Assist servers with table setup, course delivery, clearing, and resetting; ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Guest Assistance: Welcome guests, carry menus, explain daily specials, and respond to basic guest requests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Beverage Support: Assist bartenders and servers with drink delivery, water service, and basic beverage knowledge; support wine service when required.
  • Mise en Place: Prepare service stations, replenish condiments and cutlery, and maintain clean, organized side stations.
  • Order Accuracy: Relay orders to kitchen and bar accurately; check tickets and assist with timely delivery of dishes.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Follow sanitation and food safety procedures; maintain cleanliness in service areas and adhere to PPE and hygiene standards.
  • Teamwork: Support colleagues during peak periods, assist with bussing and side work, and participate in pre‑service briefings and post‑service debriefs.
  • Event Support: Assist with setup and service for private dining, group bookings, and special events as required.

Requirements

  • Experience: 0–2 years in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Service Skills: Basic knowledge of front‑of‑house operations, confident carrying trays and plates, and comfortable with standing and walking for long shifts.
  • Communication: Clear, polite English; additional languages (Greek, Arabic, Russian) are an advantage.
  • Attitude: Friendly, punctual, team‑oriented, and guest‑centric with a willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Physical: Able to lift and carry service items safely and work on feet for extended periods.
  • Availability: Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays; readiness to attend training and trial shifts.

Salary Scale

  • Monthly Salary Range: AED 3,000 – AED 4,500 depending on experience and shift availability.
  • Additional Compensation: Eligibility for service tips and performance‑based incentives.
  • Contract Notes: Final package confirmed at offer stage and may include transport allowance or staff accommodation support where applicable.
